Creation of this website was funded by a grant from the State of Alaska's Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP).
Under CIAP, Alaska received in 2002 a one-time appropriation
of $7.9 million in federal funds for states with offshore oil activities, with another $4.27 million congressionally allocated
to eligible coastal communities.
